For my brother Jason
Dear Friends,
Some of you will know that i had a brother, who at the age of 9 travelled from the country town of Wagga Wagga to Melbourne, to have a pig valve transplanted into his heart.
He suffered from Ebstein’s Anomaly, a congenital heart defect disease characterized by displacement of the tricuspid valve (ie. the right ventricle of the heart is so small or weak that it does not pump enough oxygenated blood through to the lungs).
He died the night before the operation.
I have set up Hug For Hearts™ to raise money in his memory – and the millions like him, who suffer from heart disease.
So instead of sending someone chocolates or flowers this Valentines Day, perhaps you can sponsor me for a hug (or a kiss!) during Valentine's Day Week!
Donations over $2 are tax deductible.
PS You can get involved too. Create your own free fundraising page to make an even bigger difference for those in need.

Heart Foundation
The Heart Foundation is Australia’s leading heart health charity working to fight cardiovascular disease (heart, stroke & blood vessel disease), which claims one Australian life nearly every ten minutes. The funds you raise will help the Heart Foundation fund critical research, education and community programs to help save lives and improve the health of all Australians.
How your fundraising helps:
- A donation of $100 will enable 20 people to speak to the Heart Foundation's professional heart health information service staff and receive heart health materials.
- A donation of $200 will enable the distribution of our latest heart disease management guide to over 100 health professionals, to provide the best possible care for heart patients.
- A donation of $500 will help us fund a world-class research project for two days.
